Terroir-vineyards and viticulture
"The Orvieto hills" offer an interesting and varied landscape, where nature remains partly unspoiled in the dense stretches of woods, and where human intervention has been present since Etruscan times with the cultivation of vines and olive trees.
THE TERRAIN
of marine origin, it is of clayey-sandy type (during the Eocene period, the sea was here..).
THE VINEYARDS
Planted in 2005 and 2017, they consist of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon vines in the Old Vineyard and Tuscan Vermentino, Grechetto, Procanico, Malvasia, and Ciliegiolo in the New Vineyard.
Trained using cordon spur and Guyot methods.
The Vineyards extend over 2.8 ha and are conducted with organic farming methods, without any use of systemic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers, to seek a balance between nature and man’s work to produce wines that respect the land and the environment, bearers of our values.
